Vid Prislan is Assistant Professor of Public International Law at Amsterdam Law School. Between 2018 and 2021, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Amsterdam Center for International Law (ACIL). Prior to joining ACIL, Vid worked as Research Fellow and doctoral candidate at the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies, Leiden University, where he also lectured in the LLM programme in Public International Law.
Vid was awarded a PhD in international law from Leiden University (2019) for his research on the Role of Domestic Courts in Investor-State Arbitration. Vid also holds degrees in Dutch law (LL.B.) and public international law (LL.M., cum laude) from Leiden University, and international relations (Graduate Diploma / B.A.) from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.
In addition to his work at the University of Amsterdam, Vid serves as one of the Book-Review Editors of the Leiden Journal of International Law.
