Felicia Jäckel is a PhD student in Giacomo Tagiuri's project The Governance of Loss in the European Union. Within the project, she studies the losses that are experienced in relation to climate change and the green transition in the farming and fishing sector as well as how they can and should be addressed, integrating a gender lens.
She has an interdisciplinary background, with a bachelor's degree in European Cultures and Society from Europa-Universität Flensburg, and a master's degree in International Relations and Global Political Economy from Stockholm University. Alongside her studies, Felicia worked as a research assistant at the chair for European Law during her bachelor's and at the department for Economic History and International Relations during her master's. After graduating from her master's in summer 2025, she worked in a project on aid transfers to Ukraine at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and as an intern at the German Agency for International Cooperation.
